Concorde Solicitors Limited is a firm of solicitors established by Michael Watson to provide specialist property related dispute resolution and risk management services.
Michael was admitted as a solicitor in 1993 and since then has specialised in the field of property related litigation having worked for a number of national law firms. In 2010 he established the property litigation department at Shulmans LLP and remained a partner there until the sale of the firm in 2020.
Throughout his career Michael has provided specialist legal advice in relation to many varied contentious property issues acting for a broad range of clients including property companies, investment funds, government departments, landlords and tenants.
Michael regularly presents professional development training in relation to commercial property related issues and has served on the RICS Dilapidations Forum Steering Group, speaking on a number of occasions at the forum annual conference. He currently serves on the committee of the Dilapidations Association and is the founder of the Linkedin – Dilapidations Discussion forum and Interest Group – a group which now has in excess of 2600 members with a professional interest in dilapidations related matters.
Legal issues relating to property and phone masts are also a particular area of interest for Michael who for many years has provided specialist, technical legal advice for building and land owners in relation to phone masts already installed on their property and action by telecommunications network operators seeking to install apparatus on their land and property assets under the provisions of the Digital Economy Act 2017 and the Electronic Communications Code. He regularly acts for property owners throughout the country in relation to Tribunal applications for surveys, renewal of telecommunications agreements and the removal of Electronic Communications Apparatus from properties and development sites.
